EARTH

Earth

An architectural proposition staged as an exhibition.

At the core of Earth is a rammed earth wall, built entirely from soil sourced nearby. Built by hand over several days, it introduces weight, friction, and duration into a context defined by speed and surface.

By bringing earth construction into an interior environment, the installation bridges the gap between raw material, architectural process, and the domestic spaces we inhabit.

The rammed earth wall serves as both an architectural element and an exhibition display. It is accompanied by design and art pieces that share this ethos — works that hold their material history rather than concealing it.

Around the wall, the space is organised not as a conventional showroom, but as a place to stay. It invites visitors to slow down, to feel the texture of the materials, and to consider the physical weight of what surrounds them.

The project brings together architectural thinking, material research, and curation to propose an alternative to the typical trade fair booth. Instead of temporary, throwaway construction, Earth prioritises endurance and material honesty.

By making the means of its making visible, the installation questions standard methods of production and display, offering a more rooted, substantial way of occupying space.

Not a display of forms,
but a grounding room.

Through this environment, FEDE explores how spatial design
can be an act of grounding. It asks what it means to build
with the earth rather than simply on top of it, challenging
the throwaway culture of temporary exhibitions.

might become accountable to the ground it stands on —
materially, culturally, and politically.

Leaving it unchecked does not affect your inquiry.

You can withdraw marketing consent at any time by emailing info@fede.studio. A new inquiry with the box unchecked is not an unsubscribe request for an earlier opt-in. Please contact us to withdraw that earlier consent.
